I’m no expert photographer. I only take snaps using my phone. But what am I going to do with all the content I’ve taken so far? Post it here!

Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia and the country’s most populous city. Home to roughly 1.2 million people, approximately 90% of its ethnic background are Georgians, while the balance is comprised of its neighbors – Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Russians and Kurds. As a fan of wine and luxurious baths, I find its parts as good ingredients for a perfect vacation. Apparently, the country has the oldest records of wine making, while its name means warm location after its numerous sulfuric hot springs.

In the meanwhile, here are 5 pictures I took while visiting Tbilisi:

I now live in the Netherlands and the amount of bikes far exceed the number of people. It’s strange that it’s in Tbilisi that I first saw such a tribute.

I don’t believe in superstitions. But I admire creativity. This one demonstrates the lengths people would go to in order to avoid spelling out “13” in the address.

The photograph isn’t special. Sulphur baths are. And the reason the picture is memorable is that it’s a reminder of bad decisions – taking one in the middle of the summer season and purposefully inflicting more heat on myself.

I was feeling tired (but fulfilled) at the end of a sightseeing day. And I’m a hard person to get but the wall read me well.

Maybe it’s a sign of ageing. I’m beginning to appreciate hotels that feel like home.

All photographs were taken on August 2022
